Dang, It Really Do Be Like That.

Well, My son has the Rona. Yeah,. Honestly it's pretty depressing. We will be stuck inside for a good little while, so that's neat. I decided to buy a harmonica so I can "blow the pain away" or whatever that means. Other than that though this week has been super good. I went knocking with my trainer Elder Ling and he showed me the true way to knock, and I can confidently say that I wasn't doing the right way for 6 months. 

 

 

Elder Ling for those who don't know was my trainer, he is now our zone leader and we went knocking together for the first time on Wednesday. (We weren't able to knock when we were together) The man is a Legend. He just messes with people on the doorstep and they actually enjoy it. For instance this is a real conversation that was had

"How are you doing" 

"Good" 

"Well how was your day" 

"Good" 

"Really? What made it so good" 

"I went to the store to get stuff for dinner" 

"That's cool what are you making" 

"Dinner" 

"That's awesome, like for a family or do you just eat alone every night" 

"A family" 

"Wow that's awesome" 

 

 

We ended up talking about families and now he wants us to come back and teach his family. I can't make this stuff up. 

 

 

Alright that's all good and fun, but now let's get into the spiritual "meat" of this email if you will. I would say lately I have done a killer job of finding the line of rebellion and the line of (for lack of a better term) Pharisee.  (Someone who is completely over the top about the rules to the point where it actually impacts the work negatively. I'm happy to say I've finally found the balance, the way I have had to look at it is there are rules for a reason. If you follow them blindly it won't make sense, I have looked at all the rules and asked myself why they are there. Knowing why the rules and regulations are there is just as important in following them I think.  Sorry that was a tangent, basically I got this missionary thing down!
