Happy Monday, hope everyone's week went splendid, mine was pretty solid. Thanksgiving ended up being so sick, I got to eat with my zone and I found a really cool hat.     Yesterday we knocked into a guy who was finishing up moving in, we gave him a hand and said we could stay and talk about our message, he's way into it so that's awesome.      The Big Man has definitely been trying my patience and faith this week, it's been real hard, to put it lightly one of the guys we found in a rich neighborbood told us "gig harbors rich, no one needs Jesus out here, you guys got targets on your back". It was a little extreme but kind of true.      Earlier in the week we got to go outside our zone and help someone move, the house reeked of cigarettes and he lived in a run down duplex, his living situation was not ideal, and he was kind of an unhappy man, that experience made me realize how good I actually have things, I've never expressed enough gratitude for ...

Aye how's it going everyone, this week was awesome, we had transfers so we got the two new elders, they're OK I guess, but I don't know them very well yet so time will tell. I also got in trouble with the mission president because my hair was WAY too long, so I finally got it cut (picture below)     Honestly nothing really significant has happened so this email will be pretty short, we are teaching a bunch of new people though, and they are all super excited about it, it's really cool to see that the message we bring impacts people's lives in such a short amount of time, I mean like minutes.      Anyway everything's all good over here, email me back, I might respond if I'm not too busy. Aye it's your favorite missionary elder Welder. Today I'm gonna talk about how sick the mission field is, right now and what we are doing. To start we put up our Christmas tree and it's nice but I don't like Christmas until after Thanksgiving but elder hall wanted to put it up on Halloween so we compromised. Second Transfers happened and I'm staying in good Ole gig harbor for Christmas. It's awesome. Third, we just got on lock down but I'll talk about that later     This week was absolutely fantastic for finding new people to teach, we found like 8 new people to teach and there all super ready to hear the good word, God really has a hand in things and it's awesome, one of those lucky fellows we are going to teach is named Edward. We found Edward because the spirit told me knock on his door, way back in october when we couldn't knock. However now that we can knock again, we finally got to stop by his house and he answered, he told us his full name and...

So the mission just got a billion times better. We just got the green light to knock on Friday and it's been a blast. So many weird people it makes it awesome. I usually start off the conversation at door steps by saying "hey we're back, did you miss us". It usually gets a laugh. Sometimes though people are not very happy to see us.     Other than knocking we have been doing lots of Facebook stuff still and I gotta say it's working pretty well, people are really starting to be drawn to us and it's been really cool to see that missionary work can still progress during these times.     Transfers are next week, I hope I get to stay, I really do love gig harbor, the members here are fantastic, I know this is a short email but nothing to interesting has happened yet. Well, remember last email when I said I got 10 Kickstarts and was super excited, well, at zone conference we were invited to ask the big man on campus (God) for one spiritual prompting for the day, and I'm sure you can guess what mine was. Yep. I gave away all my Kickstarts, funny how the Lord works, pretty sure they were on sale for that reason.     Anyway with that being said, this week was a doozie so let's hop right into it, starting out like I said we had zone conference it was super good lots of good insights but what's the most important is that I found out that President thinks I'm funny so that's a win, I made a sweet video for my zone and I threw in some comedy and he loved it.      I forgot to mention last time we had transfers and we got 2 new elders and one of them went to Olympus, Elder Ethan Stanger, if any of know him, he graduated this year, he's a really solid guy and we have a lot of the same music tastes so its been fun to get to know him....
