Granted she was 9 and already wanted to be baptized but since she was 9 she had to go through missionary lessons (I don't know why I don't make the rules). Regardless she is so sweet and her name is Emily, it was her own decision and not her parents which really made it that much more special.      My companions and I are doing really well in Gig Harbor, it is the richest area in the mission so you know we are getting fed and getting stuff from the members, we have a really nice hou...

How's it going its me Elder Welder. Today I just wanna start of by saying that this week has been nuts. Like really nuts. There's fires everywhere I got really cool shoes, and my companion got a free guitar!     So I'm sure you've all seen the fires up here, I'm not in any danger... Yet. They're really close to one of the elders houses though so that's scary.      Elder Hall and I went back to the guitar store after I bought my guitar last week and he said "I don't pay tithing so this is the next best thing" and gave him a guitar and me some other cool stuff too. He's not even a member so I guess that was sweet      We are teaching this awesome guy named mike who is 80 years old and loves 50s rock and roll. He always tells us we are the "lds greasers" and has nicknames for all four of me and my comps. He even taught us some 50s dance moves (I'm very smooth by the way)      I don't want to make these too long becsjee I know...

What's Goin on ladies and gentlemen I just finished my first week in the field and I gotta say it was pretty sick. I'm in a quad so I have 3 other companions (hence the name wombo combo) and they're all so cool. Elder Ling (he's not Asian) Elder Hall and Elder Griffy      I did lots this week with service and I'm having a blast. We are also allowed to play pokemon up here so thats what we do for fun. Also we get to wear crocs so I'm gonna go get myself a pair because crocs are so sick.     Yesterday I taught a kid named Tal who went through a lot of the same stuff I did so I got to really connect with him and he's doing a lot better       I don't like writing long emails because if I'm honest no one reads them anyway.
